What’s inside the Notre Dame Cathedral before the 2019 fire that damaged most of the structure?
Going inside the Notre Dame Cathedral got me a sense of creepy feeling. Why not? Its architecture style is gothic and it is where St. Joan of Arc, after being burned at the stake, was beatified.

There are relics – teeth, hair, bones – of St. Denis and St. Geneviève inside the cathedral’s spire and many precious sculpture and statues that date centuries back are housed inside it. I don’t know how many of these pieces survived the fire but I hope my favorite, the 1725 Pieta statue “Descent from the Cross”, was not among the casualties.

The photos that I took here are some of the masterpieces inside the cathedral and some, you may not even see anymore, even when the cathedral reopens after its rehabilitation.
