Every afternoon before the pandemic, he and his sister used to sell rice cakes at the street where my restaurant is located. When he saw me with my camera, he jovially excaimed, “Kuya, picture!” (Big brother, take a photo of me!) I didn’t have to give him instructions as he began to pose even before I could settle in.
I don’t know why he liked to use his fingers. Maybe he aspires to be a hip-hop artist someday.
